Log #6: Focusing on the info product
An even shorter log this week.
I had the entire day off on Monday, which was nice.
In terms of project time the rest of this week, I spent most of it on the info product. I’ve set a deadline for the end of April. Is that a good deadline? I don’t know. We’ll just have to see. I’m not releasing something I’m not proud of, so I’ll push it back if needed, but I’ll be focusing on getting it on sale by then. That gives me about eight (extremely part-time) weeks to complete the content, edit it, format it, figure out marketing, and do a bunch of other tangential stuff. There’s lots to do.
One of the issues with info product stuff is that it’s not really interesting to talk about right now. Or at least, I don’t have any insights or thoughts that seem interesting? I guess part of it is that I haven’t really talked about what the product actually is. And I’m not sure if I want to. Not yet.
On Delivery Ravens I made a few updates, like listening to changes to products in Stripe and updating some styling. Nothing too exciting.
The only remaining tasks on my Delivery Ravens V1.0 list are to put together the landing page and then tag the release. I don’t plan on working on that this week though. I’ll try and get V1.0 done by the end of March.
Spending a little less time on Delivery Ravens allowed me to think about it some more. And one of the ideas I had has occupied my thoughts these last few days. It’s actually made me a bit excited about the possibilities - and maybe it’s the thing that takes it from ‘absolutely just a side project’ to ‘potentially viable SaaS’.
I also got to do some development work on liftingstones.org, so that was refreshing.
What’s next
- Focus on info product’s content.
