Log #36: Emails, feedback, business ideation

I sent some emails asking for feedback on the ebook. Out of the six people I’ve emailed so far, I’ve heard back from two. Both had nice things to say and shared bits of feedback that were quite useful, so I’m happy about that.

I’ve made some notes and I’ll update the book using some of their feedback.

There are still plenty of people I can reach out to, but I want to try and get the best response rate I can. The emails were pretty good in my opinion, but maybe they could be better? This might be the first time I’ve proactively reached out to customers asking for feedback, so it’s going to be a learning experience.

I’ve also been thinking about my next business. It’s incredibly easy to get caught up in product ideas and jumping into building which is why I’ve been trying to focus on discovering a problem and exploring them. I’ve found one problem that sounds interesting, and I have an idea of how I could build a business around it, but I want to talk to someone who actually has the problem first.

What’s next

  • Email more people to ask for feedback on the ebook.
  • Do more problem exploration.
