Log #2: Time
I noted on my now page a couple of weeks ago that “‘Infinite runway’ from contracting/consulting is nice, but it makes building momentum on anything else so hard.”
Typically, I spend about 10 hours per week working on my own projects and business stuff (roughly two hours of productive work per weekday, which I’m grateful for). And I spend the rest of my working time on client work. Sadly, the reality is 10 hours across two current projects - along with other non-project business work - isn’t that much.
I knew I’d be spending most of my project time this week on a liftingstones.org newsletter. But I still felt bad I wasn’t spending much time on Delivery Ravens (I’m back to doing some more hours on ravens this coming week).
Regardless, on ravens, I:
- Added an FAQ page to the marketing site
- Published the first FAQ.
- Added a nav bar to the marketing site.
- Added a footer.
- Added the site to the Google search console.
My next steps carry over from last time:
- Put together a real landing page
- Think about an actual pricing model
- Actually tell people about the service
I don’t want to spend too much time on Delivery Ravens once I feel it’s ‘done’ – this is one of those projects that’s definitely a ‘side project’ But I still kind of want some people to use it? I just don’t know who they could be.
